let's see the situation this way... if he never kept one dollar for himself... he split 3 buck into half ..and return 1.5 each..then he will owe each of them 48.50.... then if you realised... 48.50 + 48.50 = 97 +1.5 + 1.5 = 100 buckz!~ well...so now you see..the fact tat he kept one dollar himself...means tat he owe one more dollar to them...coz by right he should return them the money tat is not spent on the book. Rite? Let's juz put it this way.... i wanna buy a book for 97 buckz... i borrow first ..means i owe two person 48.50....but then...they provide 50 buckz... so i will return the balance of 3 buckz to each of them... but the fact tat i kept one dollar...makes me owe them 49 each.. so... 49 X 2 + the dollar i have + the dollar i OWE = 100 buckz!~ kekkee
